In 2017 The Taboo Group approached Custom Cargo to build a floating bar as an offshoot to the Pony Fish Island Bar on the Yarra River in Melbourne’s CBD. With the assistance from the team at Big Red Shade Structures the Supafish Bar was opened for the 2017/18 summer. With two container bars, a kitchenette, amenities block and an incredible steel fish carcass structure all built on a barge floated down the Yarra River.
All the hard work was rewarded with a top 3 finish in the International Restaurant & Bar Design Awards held in London 2018.
